Judge Peter Gizzi has selected the winner of jubilat's first-ever jubilat MAKES A CHAPBOOK competition for undergraduates. Congratulations to Chase Berggrun '13 for his poetry chapbook Discontent and its Civilizations! Chase's chapbook will be letterpressed and printed in an edition of 100 at the premier literary arts co-op Flying Object in Hadley, MA. In late April, Chase will read with the competition finalists at Butterfield Hall to celebrate the publication of his book. The chapbooks will be distributed free of charge to students currently enrolled in creative writing classes and at the Butterfield Hall reading. A full list of our competition finalists can be found below. Please watch for more information about the Butterfield Hall reading in the next few weeks!
This competition is made possible by the generous support of the UMass Arts Council, Flying Object, and Writing Butterfield.
